The record contingent features an increased in students from Bergen and Passaic counties, as well as an increase in undergraduates planning to major in creative arts and technology, computer science and pre-medical programs.

"It is a wonderfully diverse and talented group that is poised to take on leadership positions on-campus and put their stamp on Bloomfield College. Nicole Cibelli, our Director of Admission, and her team did a fantastic job building this class with proud Bloomfield College Bears. Our new students have started their story in such a positive and enthusiastic way and I am excited to see how they progress and grow as they pursue their academic and personal goals.”

Students intending to join the College’s Division of Creative Arts & Technology will be part of the first group to experience the institution’s new Center for Technology + Creativity, a state-of-the-art space to be completed in August 2016 that will house the division and place it in the heart of campus on Liberty Street.

The cohort also boasts significant increases in average SAT and ACT scores, making it one of the most decorated in Bloomfield’s history.

"The growth in size and improvement in academic profile demonstrates that Bloomfield College is quickly becoming a destination institution,” said Castro. “Talented, college-bound students throughout the tri-state area are choosing Bloomfield College in record numbers, and this is a trend we firmly expect to continue as we move forward in our exciting new era.”
