Bloomfield College Announces Tuition Discount for UPS Employees

Bloomfield College now offers a 25% discount on tuition to UPS employees. The tuition discount can be applied to both the College’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

“We are so happy to partner with UPS as we work to provide college access at an affordable price to their wonderful employees,” said Adam Castro, Vice President for Enrollment Management at Bloomfield College. “We are honored to give them the venue to achieve their educational goals and they will no doubt, bring invaluable real-world experience to our classrooms.  I have a profound respect for UPS’s dedication to education and professional development and I think this partnership will be a tremendous success.”

Castro predicts many UPS employees will be interested in Bloomfield College programs like Human Resource Management, Accounting, and Network Engineering but stresses that employees will be unrestricted in their academic pursuits under this partnership.

Many companies encourage employees to continue their education. Enrolling to begin or complete a degree program is an important decision but, too often, finances and hectic work schedules hold people back from pursuing higher education, even if it will earn a promotion or higher salary.

The College will provide UPS employees with invaluable resources and a broad range of academic support services via the Center for Innovation in Teaching to Enhance Learning (CITEL). CITEL services include a free Tutoring Center and Writing Center, testing and test preparation, academic support counseling, graduate preparation, a group study hub, and the Office of Adult Education.

“Giving our employees the avenue to improve their overall acumen is a business imperative for the North Atlantic District,” said Glenn Henry, Director of Human Resources, UPS. “Partnering with Bloomfield College provides a great opportunity for our people to develop themselves.”

Interested UPS employees should contact Castro by phone 973-748-9000 ext. 1219 or email adam_castro@bloomfield.edu or Jorge Fernandez, Assistant Director of Admission - Adult, Transfer, and Graduate Programs by phone 973-748-9000 ext. 1222 jorge_fernandez@bloomfield.edu to learn more.

Bloomfield College is one of six institutions to partner with UPS on this initiative.
